The is a meeting point for the presentation and discussion of ideas where research and innovative activity is promoted internationally.  It is an extraordinary opportunity for exchanging and consolidating knowledge on research results obtained from the different healthcare fields. The conference gathers a great number of professionals from different health areas from all over the world. This year the conference will be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz and our guest speaker will be Judith Shamian, President of the International Council of Nurses (ICN). Plenary sessions will focus on two relevant issues for healthcare research; in the opening session representatives of the general population will give their opinion on the willingness of citizens to participate in healthcare research projects and in the second session researchers will debate about the controversies around scientific publications (open access vs paid access, impact of scientific publications…).
